ClosetCurate ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered wardrobe and styling platform operated by individuals based in London, England, United Kingdom. We are committed to protecting your personal data and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account information: your name, email address, username, date of birth, and style preferences provided during registration or onboarding.
  • Wardrobe data: images, descriptions, categories, and metadata of clothing items you upload.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interactions within the platform, collected to improve the service.
  • Communications: messages you send us via the contact form or email.
  • Payment data: payment transactions are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or sensitive payment details on our servers. We may store Stripe customer and transaction identifiers for order management purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the ClosetCurate platform and its features.
  • Personalise outfit suggestions and styling recommendations using AI.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
  • Send service-related communications (e.g. account notifications).
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

Our lawful basis for processing is primarily contract performance (to provide the service you signed up for) and legitimate interests (to improve and secure the platform).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with the following categories of third-party service providers, solely to operate the platform:

  • Stripe: for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
  • Manus (platform infrastructure): ClosetCurate is hosted on the Manus platform, which provides authentication, hosting, and database services.

We do not currently share your data with any other third parties, including marketing or analytics platforms.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g. financial records).

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
